Building a spherical tokamak. Generating EUV lithography light source using discharge produced plasma. He will develop a plasma gun and compress the generated plasma plume using either z pinches or theta pinches to high temperature radiating EUV light.

Studying interactions between plasma jets and an unmagnetized obstacle experimentally. It is to simulate the wake cavity, which is created when the solar wind interacts with the moon, in the laboratory. The jet is generated by a conical wire array which is driven by a pulsed-power system. He will build an x-ray framing camera to take images of the events.  Detail characterizing of the Metallic Ion Thruster Using Magnetron E-Beam Bombardment.

Generating a plasma jet using a conical wire array driven by a pulsed-power system. He is building an x-ray pinhole camera to take images of the plasma jet. The plasma jet will be used to study interactions between plasma jets and an unmagnetized obstacle experimentally. It is to simulate the bow shock and ionopause on Mars in the laboratory. Studying interactions between plasma jets and an unmagnetized obstacle theoretically. It is to simulate the physics of the bow shock on Mars in the laboratory.
